Our founders, optometrists Dr. Dhavid Cooper and Dr. Guy Hodgson, started as partners in a chain of successful optometric practices in Houston, Texas. But they dreamed of something bigger. With the Internet just gearing up for e-commerce, the timing couldn't have been better. The doctors assembled a small team to launch FramesDirect.com, doing most of the hands-on work themselves. In fact, Dr. Cooper designed and coded the original Website!

In 2008, we started RaybanOakley.com to serve the needs of Cycling members and their families. We have grown this business and enhanced our customer experience by really understanding all the dynamics of how a cycling family works. How did we figure that out? Well we actually have several cycling spouses working here in several locations throughout the US and they have inspired us to serve our cycling in ways we never imagined.
